I titled this in two parts. Broken color is a painting term used to describe a method of applying color broken into complimentary hues, often used by the Impressionists. Mother Nature achieved this effect for me in the sky, orange and blue are opposites on the color wheel. Broken Bow is the location of this scene in the Sand Hills region of Nebraska.
