Farmers Market at Sunrise

I love the energy of the Overland Park Farmers Market at the break of dawn. Golden sunlight pours into the plaza highlighting produce and enhancing it’s delectability. It’s a visual cornucopia! Nutrition is life and shopping for quality food in an environment like this enriches the experience. I especially enjoy the combination of chilly morning air warmed by sunlight and smiling faces!

My booty; beets w/greens, leaf lettuce, tomatoes, yellow squash and zucchini, peaches, sweet potatoes, grass finished beef. Support local farmers and ranchers. Doing so is good for us, good for the animals and good for the land. Do you enjoy your farmers market? If so, tell me about it in the comments below. -Stephen

Mmmmm! It’s sweet potato time. Almost time to say goodbye to peaches – I loved them well this year.

Love our open markets here in Hawaii. Which has a very different selection than Overland Park. Yet I love the fact freshness of their products while supporting our local farmers at the same time.
