I’ve been practicing the Paleo Diet for 8 months. As a result my weight has stabilized 40 pounds below previous. I eat my fill 3 times per day. Exercise is moderate at best. So, what is the Paleo Diet? Essentially it’s a diet based on our evolutionary past. Primarily it recognizes the diseases of civilization resulting from eating a diet designed by our modern methods of farming and industrial food production. By nature a skeptic, I’m always looking for good science. Modern food writers tend to parrot each other perpetuating memes and here-say. The organic chemist Mat LaLonde resonates with me, he is interviewed below. Mat is an advocate of the ancestral diet but highly critical of claims that cannot be supported by evidence.
